Intro into Substance Designer

In this tutorial we will cover how to bring Substance Designer into Octane C4D. We briefly cover the concepts of how to retopologize your 3D models so that they are ready to be UV’d in the most efficient way possible. Once you have UV’d your model we will take the piece into Substance Designer and show you how you can quickly setup basic textures for your model. Using Substance Designer allows you to create many types of complex textures all of which can be used for your next production or video game project. Substance designer is a procedural texture creation system which allows for mixing and changing of many nodes to get the exact look you want. If you would like to see this project flushed out more and brought up to finished polished state let us know and we will try to work this into a future video. Like any project we do our main goal is to teach you how to work with the tools and to learn how to create things that will help you in your own projects. We hope you enjoy this video and feel free to shoot us your thoughts or questions on the YouTube comment section for this video!

We greatly appreciate your support and would love to hear from you.
