Need Some Extra Render Power?
As a small studio, we often find ourselves in need of a little extra help to get that render out the door on time. That is why we decided to offer up our modest but capable Octane render farm for hire. If you need some extra help getting that project rendered, and we aren’t using our farm, we will gladly rent our excess capacity. Simply follow the steps on this page to contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Tell us about your project.
Use the form on this page to tell us about your project. Provide details such as software and plugins used, number of frames, time needed, resolution, and your contact details.
We will review the form and contact you with information about how many nodes we have available, and request your project files to be uploaded to us for review.
Review and Approve Your Estimate.
After receiving your project information, we will load the project into our render farm and render out one watermarked frame for your approval. You will receive the file via Dropbox or other similar service of your liking. We will also send a screen capture that shows the render time, and number of cards used to render the frame.
With this information, we will be able to provide a pretty good estimate of how long it will take for us to render your project, and an approximate cost for the rendering. We will also be able to confirm that you are setup correctly to receive files from us using Dropbox.
After your approval of the sample file we will begin rendering. Please understand that after your approval of the sample file, if you need to make any changes to your project that require re-rendering, you will be charged at the full-render rate. Please understand that we can only estimate when the project will be done and how much it will cost based on our test renders. Some frames may require more intense computation than others and can result in a change in render times that affect the estimate. We provide no warranty that a deadline will be reached, only our best guess estimate. There will be no refunds for projects that take longer to render than anticipated.
We’ll take it from there.
When you have reviewed the sample file and agree to the estimate, we simply need to collect the estimated project cost (plus 10% for any overages) from you via Paypal.
After receiving payment, we will begin rendering and send you an email confirming that the process has begun.
Monitor our progress in real time.
After we begin rendering, the completed frames are saved to your Dropbox location as they are finished being rendered.
At the completion of the process, we will settle up any more overages/refunds based on the actual render times!
